Some of Canada’s most notable figures will be inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame this year, including hockey superstar Connor McDavid and the iconic “Degrassi” franchise. Other notable Canadians set to be honored include political commentator and satirist Rick Mercer and retired Supreme Court Justice Rosalie Abella. The event will take place on December 2 in Toronto and will feature performances and tributes from alumni from the past 25 years.

The 25th edition of the event will celebrate Canadian achievements in the fields of arts and entertainment, athletics, entrepreneurship and philanthropy, humanitarianism, and science, technology and innovation. Canada’s Walk of Fame has become a significant platform for recognizing notable Canadians, and this year’s inductees reflect a diverse range of fields and contributions to Canadian society.

The Walk of Fame has been recognizing standouts since 1998, and the event is known for attracting a wide range of Canadian talent and cultural icons. The inductees are selected based on their contributions to Canada’s cultural landscape and their impact on the world stage.

Canada’s Walk of Fame CEO Jeffrey Latimer said in a statement that the event will “celebrate 25 years of amazing Canadian accomplishments” and “pay tribute to those who have made significant contributions to our country and the world.” He added that the organization is “proud to be able to showcase these amazing Canadians to the world.”
