Late night hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert took aim at former President Donald Trump, Fox News, and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas in their recent monologues, delivering scathing critiques with their signature comedic flair.

Kimmel started by poking fun at Trump’s recent financial disclosure report, which revealed that his social media platform Truth Social earned him a mere $201. Kimmel quipped that Trump would have made more money selling lemonade outside Mar-a-Lago and highlighted that Truth Social is ranked 10,953th in website traffic, lagging far behind fast-food chain Arby’s.

Kimmel then turned to the ongoing Fox News/Dominion trial, where damning evidence against the network has come to light, including texts in which executives disparage Trump’s lawyers. He mocked Trump’s recent tweet urging Fox News to double down on reporting falsehoods they are being sued over, comparing it to O.J. Simpson trying on the glove and then using it to kill his own lawyer, Johnnie Cochran.

Kimmel also took aim at Trump’s proposal to arm teachers to combat school shootings, calling it a “remarkably stupid and dangerous idea.” He joked that if this had been the case when he was in school, his Spanish teacher would have shot him at least 15 times.

Meanwhile, Colbert focused on President Joe Biden’s recent trip to Ireland, joking about Biden’s use of the phrase “let’s go lick the world” in a speech, which left Colbert perplexed. He also poked fun at Biden’s dramatic entrance at an event in County Mayo, comparing it to a WWE entrance and teasing Biden for saying “I see the light” at his age.

Colbert also discussed the delayed Fox News/Dominion trial, which he referred to as his “Super Bowl.” He then turned to the controversy surrounding Justice Clarence Thomas, who has been revealed to have accepted lavish gifts and trips from billionaire Harlan Crow, who also collects Nazi memorabilia. Colbert sarcastically remarked that Crow’s intention to create a public museum at Thomas’s home, which he purchased and where Thomas’s mother lives rent-free, was not a “huge compliment” considering Crow’s possession of Hitler’s napkins and a statue of Stalin in his garden.

With their biting wit and incisive commentary, Kimmel and Colbert delivered scathing critiques of Trump, Fox News, and Clarence Thomas in their monologues, providing humorous takes on the latest news and events.
