Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley in the “Harry Potter” film series, has announced she is expecting her first child with husband Andrew Lococo. The 32-year-old actor shared the news on Instagram with a photo shoot of her growing baby bump. She expressed excitement about becoming a parent and said that she and Lococo were eagerly looking forward to meeting their baby later this year.
Wright tied the knot with Lococo in March 2022 in San Juan Capistrano, California. In a Brides feature on their wedding, Wright revealed that Lococo had asked her parents, who are jewelry designers, to create her engagement ring.
Wright’s pregnancy news comes in the same week that Daniel Radcliffe, her co-star in the “Harry Potter” films, welcomed his first child with longtime girlfriend Erin Darke. Wright will join a growing number of her former castmates who have become parents, including Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley and is father to 2-year-old daughter Wednesday with Georgia Groome.
In her Instagram post, Wright reflected on the transformative experience of pregnancy, saying that it was a “wild and humbling journey” that had allowed her to “transform to make space for new life.” She also shared her excitement about sharing “this beautiful land” with her child, posting a picture of herself on a sun-soaked hillside.
